Now for outside...

The Fiamma roof vent has been replaced with an Omnistor fan version. This produces a comfortable through draught in warm weather even at its lowest speed.

Its middle speed is quite noisy and high speed can be heard outside from 30 or 40 meters away!

I am at present working on a circuit to allow me to vary the speed with a bit more fine control…One disadvantage of the Omnistor is that it is not recommended that you drive at high speed with it wide open as the cowl support is only on one side.

When filling the water tank I often have problems getting near enough to the tap, getting the pipe fitting to stay on the tap and, finally, preventing the hose from flying out of the tank filler when the water flow was high.

I bought a 20m length of Whale roll flat hose and cut it into lengths of 7m and 13m, fitting a Hozelock type adaptor at each end.

Next I fitted a short length of semi-rigid plastic pipe into the filler neck of the tank with a fitting on the tank end that was larger than the filler hole so that it could not be pulled out.

Into the outer end of this pipe I inserted another Hozelock type fitting and finally attached the Filler cap to this fitting with a piece of sink waste chain.

Now when I need to fill up I choose the length to suit the distance from the tap (either or both lengths) and with an assortment of fittings, I can usually fix onto the campsite tap and fill up without drama. The cap cannot fall on the ground and the attached chain makes it easy to pull the filler pipe out far enough to connect onto.

We fitted a Fiamma awning, the F45 2.5m just fits!

Because of the increased 'tumblehome' towards the top of the sides, I had to make up some modified brackets

To increase the sun shade area a front extension has been fitted by using a double bed sheet and a length of rope sewn along the top edge so that it can be attached.
